Jeenah Moon is a staff photographer for Reuters based in New York. Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, she moved to the United States in 2007 and graduated in 2014 from the International Center of Photography.
Moon has worked as a contributing freelance photographer for The Associated Press, Getty, The Washington Post, NBC News, Reuters, Bloomberg, The New York Times and the New York Daily News. She has covered major news events including the COVID-19 pandemic, Black Lives Matter protests, the #MeToo movement and the criminal prosecution of Harvey Weinstein, and the New York hush-money trial of Donald Trump. Her subject matter as a photographer has encompassed politics, sports, criminal justice, breaking news, racial issues, women’s rights, fashion, lifestyle and entertainment.
She is also member of Diversify and Women Photograph.
